The Story of How It All Came To Be... Ron & Aiz
So this is how it all started.
We first met July 2010, at Schneider Electric office in Cavite. We were both newly hired and attending the employee orientation, and I actually didn't notice him at all - except that he was seating next to a well-dressed fella (Jenel). A couple weeks passed, I saw him at the employee entrance of the building - apparently it was already his first day (I started ahead of him - just the day after the orientation). I simply asked, "Bakit andyan ka pa? Iniintay ka na nila sa loob." ("Why are you still there? They're all waiting for you inside.") He did not answer, he just stared while I was swiping my ID. I thought he was weird and looked so lost, so I just walked inside, and did not ask him anymore. Then I realized, he followed me as we work in the same office.
After he settled, I was surprised 'cause he wasn't quiet at all - far from the weird guy outside. Haha! We immediately belonged to the same circle of friends, became friends ourselves.
A month had passed, he would send me some random, weird ST messages (our office instant message), and songs as well. He then added me on Facebook, and placed some questionable comments on some of my status posts. He even asked for my phone number, which I did not give, but sarcastically said "Look for it on my signature :P". Which he did! And started texting me. It was creeping me out at some point! He was making his move, which I find very flirtatious of his character.
So I would always make it a point to be clear that he was just a friend, so as to make the "moves" stop. But it did not.
Few months passed, he asked me out. I made excuses not to, but after a few more weeks, surprisingly I said Yes. We went out a few times before I went to Malaysia for a business trip. While I was there, I made some soul searching of my own, and decided that the were better off as friends. By December when I got back, we were very casual but not as close as it used to be. We even started to not talk to each other, and completely ignore each other's presence, except for when the work calls for it.
A couple months passed, he found himself a girlfriend. To my relief, he was not around me that much, and it gave me more space both in my personal and professional life just as I needed. We we're even starting to be friends again. But his relationship did not last long. He came to me and said that he had a realization - that he does not want anyone else but me, and it was wrong of him to have hurt someone else.
At that time, I was firm on my decision - that we are to remain friends, and nothing more. On the other hand, he was firm on his - to prove to me that he loves me... seriously!
Months had passed and we find ourselves being good friends again, belonging to the same circle of friends again, and enjoying each other's company. We even have our bonding time playing badminton with some friends almost twice a week. This is when I looked at him differently. He was different. He cared more, and asked less. He was patient, and respectful of my choices. Above all, I felt the sincerity that he had for me.
And so... After a long and winding, full of NO's courtship... It wasn't long from then when I FINALLY agreed to be his girlfriend.
